SGS has acquired ISO 17025-accredited radiocarbon dating and stable isotopes laboratory Beta Analytic. The Miami-based lab is now one of the laboratories in the Industries & Environment division of SGS in North America. SGS is a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification with more than 2,600 laboratories globally.
“This acquisition enhances our radiochemistry testing capabilities and strengthens SGS’s position in sustainability related services in North America. By integrating Beta’s specialized services into our network, we can offer more innovative and targeted solutions that help our clients meet sustainability goals and regulatory requirements across multiple industries,” said Marcus Maguire, Head of SGS EHS North America.
Marketing Manager Haley Gershon assures Beta Analytic clients that day-to-day operations remain unchanged and that they will receive the same reliable service and accurate results from the lab. “We thank our clients for their trust and support. We’re looking forward to serving our clients as part of the SGS network.”
Our lab will continue to offer three radiocarbon dating services:
We also offer stable isotopes analysis for various materials, including δ13C + δ15N, %C, %N, and C:N ratio for uncharred bones and δ13C, δ18O analyses for cremated bones, shells, fish otoliths and forams. For groundwater, we offer δ13C, δ18O, δ2H analyses with or without carbon dating.
