Beta Analytic Deputy Director and Quality Manager Mr. Ron Hatfield attended the recently concluded American Cultural Resources Association (ACRA) 2017 conference held last September 7-10 at The Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr. Hatfield promoted the lab’s radiocarbon dating and stable isotope analysis services.
As a sponsor of ACRA, Beta Analytic enjoyed various benefits including its own exhibit table at the conference. The AMS lab is a long-time sponsor of the association.
ACRA’s annual conventions bring together various cultural resource management (CRM) practitioners and those in related fields all in one place. This year’s theme was ‘Continental Congress to Capitol Hill—Sustaining a Strong CRM Industry’. The event saw a record attendance with over 170 CRM practitioners from business owners to students present at the show floor.
The event had a keynote luncheon and a conference session on ‘Historic Preservation Tax Credits’ featuring various speakers from the CRM community. Exhibits from the new Museum of American Revolution were also showcased before the year’s award winners were recognized.
The next ACRA annual conference is set to take place in Cincinnati, Ohio, on September 6-9, 2018.
